With its 94 metres in height, the three staggered glass blocks and modernist glass-steel construction reached a dizzying height for its time. Its progressive design brought the architects Helmut Hentrich and Hubert Petschnigg fully into the international limelight. The building was used by Thyssen AG until 2010, and today the elegant Restaurant Phoenix is located in the former reception area. The terrace on the 22nd floor is another highlight which is open to the public on selected days: It offers perhaps the most beautiful panoramic view of the city.
